The difference between the potential energy of reactants and the potential energy of products is?
In reference to kinetics and thermodynamics of chemistry...I do not know what the letters stand for, except H most likely is Heat...
Change in G
Change in H
Change in S
Change in T
?
Answer: change in G = Free Energy
change in H = Enthalpy
change in S = Entropy
change in T = Temp change.
Chemistry isn't my area (mayby you should repost there), but I'm pretty sure the answer is free energy. I think the letter G is used because they used to call it "Gibb's Free Energy" after the 19-th century American Chemist J. Gibbs.
